Live Music

This has been very quiet for a number of weeks due to the busy months with live music and bands - up to date reviews have sadly been left to the back burner. But today was the day we though this band need a shout out before they hit our stage on Saturday.

Violentango infectious enthusiasm is hitting our stage this Saturday. There are five of them - two guitars, bandoneon, electric bass and percussion - straight outta Buenos Aires, and they play tango like no other band. The music keeps you on your toes - snatching and changing, whirling, tumbling and slowing to a chilled temp. After a glimpse of sunshine yesterday let’s hold on to the summer while listening to this Spanish sound.

If you are looking for something different to what Cirencester normally offers and you need a great chilled evening that brings the summer holiday to your weekend.

dIRE sTREETs

It has been a while and we are sorry for that. We are launching our new website and this is set to go live next week. www.inglesidethevaults.co.uk. Please take the time to check us out. Now on to the music which is why The Vaults is here. This weekend Dire Streets is hitting our stage, capturing the distinctive and authentic sound of one of the biggest guitar bands of all time.
If you don;t know the famous band Dire Straits they were one of the major guitar based bands of the late 70s. The band reached its peak in the mid 80s playing larger venues including a memorable slot at Live Aid.

The set on Saturday 2nd February will be full of early classics like Sultans of Swing and Wild West End, through to the mega - hits of the 80s and Brothers in Arms, taking in all the classic album and live versions from the legendary Alchemy, Live Aid and Mandela concerts. We hope can pop down. 8pm onward free entry.

Thursday 15 November 2012

Being our first post I wanted to think of something clever and witty with a rocking twist. But sadly this didn't come to me over night. So I thought what makes us a fantastic venue and gig - our live bands and this weekend will be not be an exception.

Missin'  Rosie is a local band who have been our stage and many a time always been as "Cool as Folk". This band are a unique mixture of jazz, folk, rock, pop and shake your bottom music. Their line up is always chaotic but fun filled numbers. This band offers music that is perfect for everyone covering common interests of drinking  love and life to traditional anecdotes referring to legless pirates and fairies. This band bring you on an engaging yet sometimes obscure lyrical journey but this four piece line up are truly infectious. This band are perfect to warm your soul during these wintery evenings. So join their crazed fans to dance the night away here at The Vaults. 17th November 2012 8pm Free entry.
